What AgentPing Does

AgentPing monitors supported AI chat tabs to detect when a response starts and finishes, then alerts you with a sound, desktop notification, and optional phone notification.

Data AgentPing Handles

AgentPing does not collect data on developer servers and does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking. To provide alerts, the extension processes limited data on your device:

• Website content signals: Local page indicators such as stop buttons, loading states, and response text-length changes on supported AI sites. AgentPing does not save prompts or responses.
• Web history for supported AI tabs: The tab title, platform name, tab ID, and alert state needed to show active tabs and local desktop alerts.
• Settings: Your sound, volume, platform toggles, phone-alert topic, and bell position.

Data Stored Locally

AgentPing stores settings and current tab alert states only on your device using Chrome's built-in storage and page-local storage. Tab states are cleared when the browser session ends.

Data We Do Not Use

• We do not sell user data.
• We do not use user data for advertising, creditworthiness, or unrelated purposes.
• We do not allow humans to read your AI conversations.
• We do not send prompts, responses, or conversation content to developer servers.

AgentPing uses handled data only to provide its single purpose: detecting supported AI response completion and alerting you.

Phone Alerts (Optional)

If you enable phone alerts, AgentPing sends a short notification message to ntfy.sh. The message contains only the AI platform name and a generic completion notice. Phone alerts are optional and off by default.

Permissions Explained

• Host permissions: To run completion detection only on supported AI sites and to send optional phone alerts through ntfy.sh.
• notifications: To show desktop alerts when AI finishes
• storage: To save your settings locally
• offscreen: To play notification sounds in the background

Third-Party Services

No third-party service is contacted by AgentPing unless you opt into phone alerts through ntfy.sh.
